- Kids + Public Restrooms = FAIL!

Okay, I know I haven't posted in a while, but I HAD to rant about what happened to me today.
So my dad and I went grocery shopping, and I really had to go to the bathroom. So he sat down on the bench by the public bathrooms and I went in, closed the stall door. No problems so far. I sat down, minding my own business, when a mother and her two children (let's say 4 and 5 years old) walk in. One of them is a girl, one of them is a boy. I hear "There's someone else in here!" and the little girl starts peering through the little slats between the door. I tried to cover up what I could, but seeing as I was sitting down, there wasn't much showing anyway. The mom takes the girl into the other stall with her, while the little boy is free to roam around unsupervised. He says, "I see the girl too!" and peers between the slats as well, stops, then peers again and walks past the stalls towards the sinks. I quickly finish and pull my pant up, hoping he didn't see anything else. The mother lets the girl out of the stall and they both stare at me while I wash my hands. "Can I help you?" I say, but of course they say nothing. I walk out, feeling very embarrassed.
Okay, a few points.
1.) Maybe I should have said something, but I know moms get really angry when someone else tries to parent their kid. They knew I was in there, so why bother saying "Someone's in here."? That being said,
2.) Why wasn't SHE parenting her kids? Letting them roam around and peek in stalls that other people are in and LETTING them pisses me off!
3.) I understand children are curious and like to learn. I completely understand. But it is up to the PARENT to regulate what they are doing and teach them about other people's privacy.
4.) I also know that they were probably too young to understand what was going on, and have also probably forgotten about it. However, I do not like that a little BOY was in the women's restroom, staring at me while I did #1. I know children can't be left alone or go in public bathrooms by themselves, but honestly, just take him in the stall with you or something. You gotta parent your kids, people.
5.) Another point to be made is that not all children do this. There are good parents, and there are crappy parents. Some children are extremely well behaved in public restrooms and everywhere, and I thank the parents for doing it right.
I just felt like my privacy was violated.
What do you think? Should I be as pissed off as I am? Should children be excused for doing this? Should parents let them, or scold them when they do?
Also, funny story. Another weird thing happened in the ladies restroom of this particular grocery store. My mom and I went in there, and we were waiting for a staff member to finish cleaning the sinks so we could wash our hands. Suddenly, this big, bald guy walks out of one of the stalls and bolts for the door. He probably saw us and realized he had gone into the wrong restroom, and, sine no one said anything, didn't realize it was the women's room until it was too late! That, or he was just a pervert. But I'll go with the better option and say he was just confused to make myself feel better. XD
