Sneak hug!

I am not a thief...

...I am a treasure hunter.

Sneak hug!
Hi there!

I've been trying to exercise more often. I was using this journal in the past to update you guys about my diets, and it made me feel guilty about what I was eating! So that wasn't a good thing. I'm taking a healthier approach and exercising! I currently have a pilates lower body workout tape, and --you're going to laugh-- the Girl's Next Door workout DVD. XD So far they've been helping a lot, but recently I've been shopping around for some new ones, maybe a cardio workout or a pilates upper body workout.

So, here's my question: Do any of you guys have workout videos that work for you? I've been trying to look at amazon, and the user reviews help, but they're not really personal enough. What about routines without tapes? Anything regarding health and exercise that might help me?

Thanks guys, you're great. :)

Handmade Gifts!
Sneak hug!
I am whoring because I love it. It's a site where you buy and/or sell things handmade! They make great Christmas gifts. It's awesome! Go. NOW! :D

I really needed a new entry too, haha, although I'm not sure how many people read them...O.o

Trying to tweet and blog more often, also trying to do artwork and read and write more often...same old, same old.

Kids + Public Restrooms = FAIL!
Sneak hug!
(x-posted to deviantart)

Okay, I know I haven't posted in a while, but I HAD to rant about what happened to me today.

So my dad and I went grocery shopping, and I really had to go to the bathroom. So he sat down on the bench by the public bathrooms and I went in, closed the stall door. No problems so far. I sat down, minding my own business, when a mother and her two children (let's say 4 and 5 years old) walk in. One of them is a girl, one of them is a boy. I hear "There's someone else in here!" and the little girl starts peering through the little slats between the door. I tried to cover up what I could, but seeing as I was sitting down, there wasn't much showing anyway. The mom takes the girl into the other stall with her, while the little boy is free to roam around unsupervised. He says, "I see the girl too!" and peers between the slats as well, stops, then peers again and walks past the stalls towards the sinks. I quickly finish and pull my pant up, hoping he didn't see anything else. The mother lets the girl out of the stall and they both stare at me while I wash my hands. "Can I help you?" I say, but of course they say nothing. I walk out, feeling very embarrassed.

Okay, a few points.

1.) Maybe I should have said something, but I know moms get really angry when someone else tries to parent their kid. They knew I was in there, so why bother saying "Someone's in here."? That being said,

2.) Why wasn't SHE parenting her kids? Letting them roam around and peek in stalls that other people are in and LETTING them pisses me off!

3.) I understand children are curious and like to learn. I completely understand. But it is up to the PARENT to regulate what they are doing and teach them about other people's privacy.

4.) I also know that they were probably too young to understand what was going on, and have also probably forgotten about it. However, I do not like that a little BOY was in the women's restroom, staring at me while I did #1. I know children can't be left alone or go in public bathrooms by themselves, but honestly, just take him in the stall with you or something. You gotta parent your kids, people.

5.) Another point to be made is that not all children do this. There are good parents, and there are crappy parents. Some children are extremely well behaved in public restrooms and everywhere, and I thank the parents for doing it right.

I just felt like my privacy was violated.

What do you think? Should I be as pissed off as I am? Should children be excused for doing this? Should parents let them, or scold them when they do?

Also, funny story. Another weird thing happened in the ladies restroom of this particular grocery store. My mom and I went in there, and we were waiting for a staff member to finish cleaning the sinks so we could wash our hands. Suddenly, this big, bald guy walks out of one of the stalls and bolts for the door. He probably saw us and realized he had gone into the wrong restroom, and, sine no one said anything, didn't realize it was the women's room until it was too late! That, or he was just a pervert. But I'll go with the better option and say he was just confused to make myself feel better. XD

Why do we have war?
Sneak hug!
People in power like to tell us - and maybe like to believe - that it's justified, and we need to do it to get what we want and not seem weak. But here's how I think about it: We only have one Earth, and we have to share it. Sure, there's people with different beliefs, but that doesn't mean we need to kill each other over it. Imagine what it must be like to be an alien, looking down at Earth, at the little people bombing back and fourth and screaming at one another. How stupid must that look, honestly?

I've mulled it over, trying to think of a reason war has to exist, but I can't.

People need to be ACCEPTING, or at least TOLERANT of other people's differences, and that goes for everyone in the world, not just America. If we were all the same, how boring would that be?

Sorry about the lack of update lately, guys. I've been quite busy! Don't worry, I'll have a real entry soon, with PICTURES!

Thanks for sticking around, guys!

I love you all!!!!! :D

Reading and Writing...
Sneak hug!
I've been writing off and on lately, a story that's been in my head for a while. It's taking a little bit to come to me. I know what I want to say, but it's becoming increasingly difficult to get it down on paper...or, screen. I've found it takes a lot longer to describe an event with words than in your mind. Funny how that it, isn't it? It also changes a lot once you get it out of your head and onto something tangible. A lot of times I find myself thinking, "Well that didn't turn out the way I wanted it to." But sometimes the way I wanted it to turn out wouldn't make sense! Bah, making sense is so last season. ;)

I've also been reading The Time Traveler's Wife. I want to finish it, then see the movie! I'm glad I bought it when I did. I just watched The Notebook the other day, and I completely love Rachel McAdams, so I think she is perfect to play Clare. I really want to read the book of The Notebook, too! I know too much about The Time Traveler's Wife already, so I want to finish it QUICKLY before I find too many spoilers on accident! I HATE spoilers!

So yeah...I'm tired. :P

Writer's Block: Birthday Shout-out
Sneak hug!
Happy birthday, J.K. Rowling! Which of her seven Harry Potter novels do you think is the most satisfying read?

I have to say that the 2nd one, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, captured me the most. I love ALL of them, they are all spectacular, but Tom Riddle absolutely intrigued me from the start.

Happy Birthday, J.K.!!! :D

Well, since I don't really have much to say, I'll post my class schedule for this coming semester.

Elementary Algebra

Class Piano I
Creative Writing

Survey of Rock Music
Ancient and Medieval Heritage

The piano class I'm taking is level one, because, while I took piano from 7th grade to sophomore year of high school, I don't exactly remember all of what I learned, since I haven't taken it since. I think I'd be able to catch up a lot faster in the level one class. :)

So yeah, this is what I'm taking, if anyone cares.

I'm pretty excited.

Weight Loss Programs
Sneak hug!
For those of you who have been reading my journal since I first started, you'll know that, for a while, I used this journal as my "weight loss" journal. I tried several different "diets", and my weight would yo-yo between 120 and 140. I tried to lose weight for up to a year and a half, always failing. Now, I'm not obese. In fact, I'm not even overweight, even now that I've stopped trying to lose weight. I've become pretty comfortable with the way I look now, especially with my boyfriend reinforcing the fact that he thinks I look perfectly fine everyday. :)

Apart from all this, you can't watch TV without seeing a weight loss commercial. Whether it's a pill, a diet plan, or a meal replacement shake/bar, it is there to "help you lose weight" or, more realistically, make you feel bad about yourself so you buy their product. I noticed, upon watching these different commercials, for different products, that they market 1 prominent weight loss idea.

That this product can help you fight HUNGER.

Now...this confuses me to no end, and it's on half the weight loss commercials out there. I can understand fighting CRAVINGS if you are not hungry at all. Over-eating isn't good. HOWEVER, hunger is natural and normal! It's the body's way of telling you that you need to eat. The companies who sell these products need to get it out of people's heads that hunger is "bad" and "shouldn't be experienced." It makes me angry, and some people really do believe that being hungry is bad.

There's my rant for the day. :P

Reminder: Campaign 16 for Avon ends on August 4th, so email me at to let me know if you'd like to place an order!
